A Surprise Attack on America?

Last week my husband had a dream that he was in a room, standing in front of a large window. As he looked out the window, he saw a large Chinese Navy battle group. There were various types of ships, destroyers, missile launchers, air craft carriers, etc. and thousands of Chinese sailors in lines who were boarding the ships. As my husband was watching this scene, an elderly gentleman with white hair, who looked somewhere between 80-100 years old, walked up to him and said: “You know, America has never been good at recognizing a surprise attack.”

Within a few days, I had a dream that I was at my son’s apartment (who is in the military), visiting with him. All of a sudden, a loud alarm went off. My son and the other members of his troop went up the stairs to the roof. I went up the stairs, intending to tell him good-bye and give him a hug, but suddenly, bars went up and I could not go up to where he was. My sense was that the troops were about to be deployed or go on a mission. I went back down into the apartment and attempted to leave, but found that the doors were locked, like it was a lock-down type of situation. I was able to call someone on the phone, who came and let me out.

I felt that these two dreams were connected, since they both involved the military. After my husband told me his dream, we discussed the different aspects or implications. The gentleman looked old enough to have fought in World War II. I thought about Pearl Harbor (a surprise attack) and all the situations going on around the world with Taiwan, etc. and the threats China has made against the U.S. and anyone interfering with their “sovereignty” over Taiwan.

As I was discussing the dreams with one of my friends, she reminded me that someone she knows, who has a prophetic anointing, had recently shared that they had an angelic visitation. The angels (I believe there were two angels) had scrolls that said to prepare for the Ezekiel 38 war. Ezekiel 38 is a war where many nations will combine to come against Israel. Since America is an ally of Israel, it’s possible we could be pulled into it.

All of this made me think about Matthew 24:7-13:

7 “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to end end shall be saved.” NKJV

The word for nation in verse 7 is “ethnos.” It means people of different ethnicities or races would rise against each other. This is something we have seen a resurgence of in America. The word for pestilences can also be translated “pandemic.” The definition of a pandemic is a disease that is prevalent over a whole country or the world. We are definitely seeing this come to pass in our time and it seems to be getting worse instead of better. If you watch world news, you will find that famines, fires and floods have been very prevalent for the last few years and is getting worse. If you go to any of the sites that give information about earthquakes, you will find that there has been a huge increase in the last 10-20 years over the previous decades and centuries.

The beginning of sorrows in verse 8 means “birth pains.” Anyone who has had a baby knows that as you get closer to the time of the birth of a child, your birth pains become more frequent and more intense. That’s what Jesus was saying about these signs. The closer we get to the end of time and His return, the more frequent and the more intense the earthquakes, famines, pestilences (pandemics), wars, etc. would become. And He goes on to say that there will be terrible persecution and a great falling away from the faith.

I just want to encourage everyone to be in prayer about these situations and to draw near to the Lord and get firmly rooted and grounded in Him, so that you will not be among those who fall away. For those who have never made a commitment to Christ, I encourage you to do so. All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you of all your sins and come into your heart and really mean it. Then, start reading your Bible and find a good church to go to. Maybe join a Bible study or small group or watch online. Renew your mind with the word of God and prayer, so that you can be strong and ready to face whatever comes. God bless you all.
