He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler. And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler (small shield). You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Psalm 91:1-7 NKJV
A while back, I had a dream about a shaking that is coming. I didn’t feel led to share it at the time, but I think the time of this coming to pass is approaching. In the dream, it seemed I had gone to a women’s retreat type of event. I was at a college with a group of women that I know. I believe it was some of the intercessors from the church that we have attended for many years and one or more I knew from childhood. We all kind of went our separate ways and lost track of each other. I kept trying to go back to the room we had all shared, but I had trouble finding it. It was like it had changed and the group I came with was no longer there. I ended up going to a service being held outside. I think there was music and some preaching or teaching and probably men and women there. All of a sudden, these chaotic winds started blowing and we all started running. I was running next to another woman and both of us had the word “mercy” written in blue on the inside of our right thigh. As we continued to run, buildings and things were crumbling all around us and even above us, but I knew that we were being protected by the Lord.
When you dream about going to school in a dream, it often means a place where you are learning and growing and being prepared for life or to fulfill your calling. Sometimes we try to go back to what is familiar to us or where God had us in a previous season and it just doesn’t work. We have to move into all that God has for us. Being in an outside service reminded me of how we did church during the covid lockdowns and I believe we will probably experience more of that, based on a dream my husband had and other prophetic dreams and words I have heard. I believe the chaotic winds and everything crumbling was symbolic of the shaking that many prophets have been talking about. Even though it was frightening, I still had a sense of knowing that we were being protected.
In Genesis 24:1-4, Abraham asked his servant to place his hand under his thigh and take an oath that he would not take a wife for his son from among the Canaanites (the pagans), but he would go back to their own country to get him a wife. So, placing the hand under the thigh was done when taking an oath. I believe the word “mercy” that was written on the inside of the other lady’s and my thigh was a sign of being in covenant with God and His promise of protection.
I would like to encourage everyone to read and try to commit to memory the 91st psalm. It is a very encouraging reminder about God’s promises of protection during times of shaking and there is power in speaking it out loud. God bless you all.
