The Ark Dream

Recently I heard a minister sharing a word that the Lord had given her about “getting your boat ready.” She felt that the Lord was referring to the way the He spoke to Noah to store up supplies for the time ahead, but also to get yourself ready spiritually. This reminded me of a dream my husband had years ago about an ark.

In the dream, my husband first saw dinosaurs coming out of a cavern. They started out small and few in number, but then he felt the ground quaking as they became larger and larger in size and greater in number, more than he could count. Next, he said he was in a large, dark cavern with a small amount of light. He was standing on a boat that he felt was an ark. The ark had been through a fire. The whole thing was scorched and nothing was left but the deck or foundation of the boat, which was still in good shape. He got down on his hands and knees and noticed that in every place where there should have been a railing, there was a circular, rainbow-colored piece of glass. He began to pound on the glass and a pole popped up. Then he moved to the next piece of glass and did the same. Little by little, as he pounded on the glass, the boat began to reform.

As I began to ponder what the dinosaurs represented, my first impression was something demonic. I looked it up in the A to Z Dream Symbology Dictionary and it said “old ways.” I started thinking about what types of old ways had started out small but had been gaining ground in this nation for the last few decades and what came to me was witchcraft, paganism, communism, abortion, etc., which all have demonic roots.

The ark was the thing that the Lord used to preserve Noah, his family, and the animals through a time of judgment. I am not suggesting that we are going to see judgment to the same magnitude as the time of Noah right now, but I believe we have been going through a time of correction in America and the world and it may get worse before it gets better. The ark had been scorched and nothing was left, but the foundation. I believe the Lord was showing us that we would go through the fire, a time of trial, where a lot of things would be burned up, but the foundation would be preserved.

As Tim began to pound on the rainbow-colored glass, the ark began to reform. I believe the rainbow-colored glass represented the promises of God and the Lord was showing that as we put a demand on His promises through prayer, we would see some restoration.

I believe, as the woman minister suggested, that this is a time to get ourselves prepared physically, but also spiritually for the times ahead. Even if the prophecies about our former President being restored to office happen soon, it will not be without opposition and it will take time to turn things around. We all need to draw near to the Lord, pray and put our confidence and trust in Him and not in the temporary things of this world.

The Apostle Paul, said that if we have hope in this life only, we are of all men most miserable. We need to remember that we are strangers and pilgrims in this world. Hebrews 11 is called the “Hall of Faith.” It speaks of those who persevered through hard times because they knew they had a better home in Heaven.

Hebrews 11:13-16 says: 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. (NKJV)

God bless you all.
