The Watchman Anointing

Over the years my husband has had many dreams from the Lord, some of which I have shared on this website. For the last several months, it seems that the number of dreams has increased from 2-3 per week to sometimes 4 or 5 per night. Sometimes the dreams have to do with personal situations in our lives or business, but often they are warning dreams about what is coming. I have begun to realize that my husband has what is called a “watchman anointing”. A watchman is basically a prophetic calling. In the Old Testament, the watchman had to stand guard and sound the alarm (by blowing a trumpet), if they saw the enemy approaching, so that the people could get prepared for what was coming. A spiritual watchman was also responsible for telling the people what the Lord was saying and warning them when they got off track that they needed to repent in order to avoid judgment. The Lord often shows him things that are going to happen in the future, involving our country, the economy, etc. One of the things that the Lord has taught me, as an intercessor, is that some of the things the Lord shows us is so that we can pray against it and possibly change or mitigate the outcome, but, other things He shows us are going to happen and He shows us so that we can get prepared and help others to prepare also. Amos 3:7 says “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.”

Recently I shared dreams that my husband and I both had about the corona virus and things that would follow as a result. We began hearing news reports, etc. a short time later that confirmed what the Lord had shown us in the dreams. A few weeks ago, my husband had a dream that there would be a problem with the meat processing and the truck drivers not being able to get dispatches for loads of meat to haul. Within a week or two, we began hearing reports about the meat processing plants shutting down or having to change the way they did things so that the meat would not be sliced or cut up as much as it had been previously (which is part of what my husband saw in his dream).

A couple of weeks ago, my husband had another dream concerning the economy of the United States. In the dream, he was at an Air Port Business Park, it seemed. Most everyone there was working under a tent (much like how people are having to try to have their businesses more or partly outside now). Tim looked up and saw a huge airplane, similar to the one Howard Hughes (a billionaire) had built and flown back in the 1940s flying through the air. It seemed that the air plane continued to be built as it was flying, so it became heavier and heavier. The plane had an abnormal design. It was black in color, with a chrome grill (very dull in color, not high quality) and had about a dozen small engines, scattered though-out the grill. The grill resembled one that would have been a part of a 1930s model car. At first sight, it appeared that the engines were a normal size, but as the plane got closer, he could see that the engines were contained in the center of a chrome fascia bezel and the engines themselves were only about 1/4th the size of the bezel and some were even smaller. The engines were not really powerful enough to help the plane gain enough momentum to raise the altitude of the plane very much. The grill was shaped like a wedge-shaped tornado (and so was the rest of the front of the plane) and because of this, the plane was not very aerodynamic, which caused a lot of wind resistance. The plane had no landing gear; it was as if it was not designed to land.

The plane was inverted (flying upside down), and began to do a nose-dive. It went behind the trees and was so low to the ground that Tim thought the plane had crashed, but miraculously, he saw the pilot (he thought was Donald Trump) was able to maneuver the plane in such a way that it just skimmed the tops of the trees and kept going. However, the plane was so heavy, that it could not regain much altitude and was struggling to avoid crashing. Any malfunction whatsoever would mean certain death.

After the plane flew by, Tim decided to move his vehicle, which was parked in the parking lot, among the vehicles that belonged to the vendors at the Airport Business Park. Instead of parking in an organized fashion, the cars were clustered together, making it difficult for anyone to get their vehicle out. Tim began to maneuver his vehicle backwards and forwards, until he was able to get out of the parking lot. After driving around the building, he saw that their were almost no vehicles on the outer perimeter. Next, he pulled his vehicle in front of a vendor’s tent and got out to ask if he could park there temporarily. He started the conversation by asking the vendor, how’s business? The vendor responded by saying, ” it’s very slow and I am afraid that it is going to get even worse after the show (meaning the air show).”

There are more parts to the dream, which we believe had to do with the stock market, inflation and a crash. There were other things in the dream that had to do with the 1930s or 1929. Tim entered a huge building, the largest one he had ever seen. There were phones about every 50 feet apart, similar to how they are arranged at the stock market. Tim said every time he would go to try to use a phone, someone would get there ahead of him, until finally he heard someone say over the loud speaker, “Tim, call on line 8.” When he got to the phone, it looked like an antique phone from the 1930s. The number 8 was lit up in red, but when he went to try to answer it, a man came back and picked up the phone, as if he had already been in a conversation with someone, and he was upset that he had ordered a jar of honey that cost him $129.00, so he thought it would have been a huge jar, but when he got it, it was only about a pint jar (inflation). Tim said at this point, he was standing at the back of this huge building, next to the wall and he could see that there was a large crack, where there had been a crash at some point in the past. As he was standing there, he heard a semi-truck crash into something and it began making a thumping noise and slowing down.

Within the last week or two, we started hearing reports that the unemployment rates for the month of April is expected to be like those after the stock market crash in 1929. The small businesses have been called the engines of the economy. Because of how heavy the plane was (and they kept adding to it, like the congress people keep adding to the debt) and because the engines in the plane were too few and too small, the plane (economy) could not gain much altitude.

The number 8 means new beginnings, a new start or a reset. I believe the Lord was showing us that the reset for the economy is going to be like that after the 1929 crash and it’s going to be very difficult for it to gain momentum again because many small businesses have had to file or will be filing for bankruptcy and because our country is so far in debt, it will cause inflation. I know that all things are possible with God and I am praying for guidance for our President, but I’m not really sure how many people have turned to the Lord during this time.

As I stated in my last post, the Lord allows trials in order to bring people to repentance (which means to change your heart and your mind and turn away from your sins) and to shape and mold our character. Over and over again in the Old Testament, we see the same pattern repeated; God blesses the children of Israel until they start practicing idolatry, sacrificing their children (which abortion is another form of), and all kinds of other abominations and then judgment comes. The Lord uses the prophets to implore them to repent and return to Him again. If they repent, He restores their blessings.

There have been many prophets saying that the church and the nation, both need to repent of idolatry (among other things) and people need to return to the Lord. It is better to have some temporary discomfort in order to bring about course correction than to spend eternity in hell.

I believe the Lord is calling the body of Christ to return to our first love, to love Him more than things, more than our pleasures, and all the other things that compete for our time and attention. James 4:8 says: Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. (NLT). Joel 2:12-14 says 12 Even now, declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. 13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. 14 Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing. (NIV). I just want to encourage everyone to seek the Lord and draw near to Him during this time. If any of you have never asked the Lord to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart, or maybe you have strayed away from Him and need to make a re-dedication of your heart to Him, I encourage you to do so.
