Comments on the Corona Virus

I have been reluctant to talk very much about this subject because I don’t want to cause fear or alarm and it seems like people are divided into one camp or the other; either all faith and no preparation or caution or preparation combined with fear and not a lot of faith. When my husband first started telling me about the corona virus, I would respond by quoting Psalm 91, which says “no plague shall come near your dwelling” (verse 10), “a thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you, (verse 7)” (and and I still stand on the Word and promises of God).

Then my husband had a dream (a few weeks ago) where he saw a few different bumper stickers. On each bumper sticker one or more words would be in large print or emphasized in some way. The words were: Corona Virus is Real, is Deadly, Prepare, Trust Him (God). The last thing he saw was a musical note. After googling the note and talking with a friend who is a musician, we found out that it was a base note that was a half note, which means a low note in double time (rapid). We surmised that what God was showing him about the corona virus was that it was going to spread rapidly, which we have started seeing in the last few weeks, since the dream. In reality they have only just begun testing, so we will probably be seeing a large increase in the number of cases in the next few weeks, according to the President and his spokes people.

A couple of days after my husband had his dream, I had a dream in which I was driving a high performance vehicle in the dark with my headlights on, when I spotted a basket ball lying in the road and a basketball player. I stopped the car and got out and took several of my things out of the car and the basketball player came over and offered to help me carry some of my stuff (which lightened my load and made it much easier for me to walk), so we started walking together down the road. A few days or maybe a week after I had the dream, we heard that the NBA was shutting down and that one of the NBA players had offered to pay the arena workers’ salary for the next several weeks or months. I then realized that the Lord had shown me that the sport of basketball would be shut down and at least one of the players was going to be very helpful.

The next thing in the dream was that I came into the yard of a place where I knew my father (I believe it represented our Heavenly Father, my father passed away last year) was inside the house. For some reason I only entered the yard and did not go into the house. We had a meeting with our Pastors and some other people on Monday evening where a decision was made to have drive-in church (outside in the church yard) this coming Sunday and probably continuing on until things change. I believe this was what the Lord was showing me in the dream.

The next thing in my dream was that my brother (probably symbolic) came running into the yard faster than I have ever seen him move. I said “what is going on?” He replied that the semi truck had broken down. I said okay, I’ll go with you, but he turned around and ran so fast that there was no way that I could keep up with him. I believe that this meant that there is some kind of break down that is happening or going to happen with the trucking industry, possibly due to shortages (but I am not for sure). I believe the rapid response meant that it was an urgent situation. My husband saw a posting on facebook about 1-2 weeks ago by a truck driver. He was at a port in California and he said it was like a ghost town. He was one of a very few trucks (there are normally hundreds of trucks lined up he said) there and the ones who were there were only moving things around. He stated that there were normally 20,000 to 30,000 containers, but that day there were only about 20-30 and these had some kind of hold placed on them (due to the fact that the factories in China were shut down).

Next, in my dream, I walked further down the road and stopped at a convenience store where I saw one of my cousins (who works as the Director the of the Human Resources Dept. at two large Hospitals in Pasco County). She told me that a friend was coming to meet her in about 10 minutes and they were going to see a movie that was in French and Spanish and English. She asked if I wanted to go. I told her that I had better not because I didn’t remember where I left my car and I didn’t know how I was going to get home (I don’t know if this had anything to do with a lack of fuel or what). I thought about how a movie trailer is often a preview of what is coming and I felt that the Lord was showing that what was happening in these other countries was going to come here and as we all know, that has already begun. However, I would like to add that sometimes situations can be averted or minimized through our prayers and through repentance. II Chronicles 7:14 says that “If My people, who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (NKJ).

I just want to remind everyone of two points in my husband’s dream: Prepare and Trust Him. Preparation is not a lack of faith. Proverbs 22:3 says: A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences, (NLT). Noah and Joseph were both preppers (see Hebrews 11:7, Genesis 41:34-36). We have tried to prepare enough food, etc. (over the last month or so and no, we didn’t buy out whole shelves or try to hog all the toilet paper, we’re not hoarders, lol), to see us through (and be able to help our family, friends, etc., if need be) for a while, in case there are shutdowns, shortages, etc. I realize not everyone has the money to buy extra food, etc. and I believe that God will make a way for all of us who trust in Him. Psalm 111:4-5 says: He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The Lord is gracious and full of compassion. He has given food to those who fear (have a reverential respect for) Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant, (NKJ). I’m still claiming and believing Psalm 91 and I pray for protection for you all and hopefully a speedy end to this virus. Be blessed everyone. Kelly Rowe
