For we know in part and we prophesy in part…For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. I Corinthians 13:9, 12, NKJ
In this scripture, the Apostle Paul shares that we (the body of Christ and people with prophetic gifts) only know and prophesy in part. I have often compared it to each person having a piece of the puzzle and when you put them all together, you get a more complete picture. Once we see Jesus face to face and know fully, then we will no longer need the prophetic gifts. And let me just say that all true prophetic words, dreams, etc. will always submit to and line up with scripture, but is not equal with scripture (we are not adding to the scriptures). And the Bible tells us that prophecies are to be judged to make sure they are from God and line up with the scriptures (I Corinthians 14:29).
In my last post I shared a prophetic word that I have been hearing from some prophetic people that I know and trust about a shaking that is coming. I stated that I heard it was supposed to start in September. Since then I heard that the word was that we needed to have proactive prayers in place by September, not necessarily that it would start in September.
One thing that I have noticed over the years is that it’s easy to misjudge the timing of a prophecy. Often when the Lord gives you a dream or prophetic word you think it’s going to come to pass right away, but often, it might be months or years before it comes to pass. On the other hand, my husband and I both have had dreams that came to pass within a week or two, so it is sometimes hard to judge the timing of things.
Also, often the Lord is showing us a potential danger or something the enemy has planned so that we can intercede and hopefully avert disaster or at least minimize it. This is what would be called a proactive prayer. We can see instances of this in the Bible like the case of Moses interceding for the nation of Israel when they had sinned against the Lord and the Lord was angry enough to destroy them and start over with Moses, but because of Moses’s intercession, the Lord spared them (Exodus 32:9-14). Also, in the situation where Jonah prophesied to the people of Nineveh that in 40 days they would be destroyed, but because they repented, the Lord forgave them and the disaster was averted.
My husband and I have both had the Lord give us dreams where we saw a person in danger, got up in the middle of the night and prayed for them and later found out that the situation had occurred but because of our prayers, we believe the person’s life was saved and the situation was minimized.
I’m sure you are all aware of the war that has started between Israel and Hamas. From everything I’m hearing, this could lead up to the Ezekiel 38 war (or WWIII), so we really need to be interceding during this time. I believe this is all probably part of the shaking, but God will be faithful to watch over His people. God bless you all.

I definitely agree with you! Prayer is needed even more now with what’s happening. And I was woken up again in the middle of the night Friday and felt shaking multiple times and the last time it was much harder. I knew something had happened so when I got up Saturday morning, I checked YouTube and realized Israel was enduring so much suffering. It broke my heart and I’ve been praying ever since. God bless you Kelly and stay safe. Robin
