Disruptors of the Glory

And when the trumpeters and singers were joined in unison, making one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and other instruments and cymbals and other instruments for song and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever, then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God. II Chronicles 5:13-14, AMP

We can see the principle over and over again in scripture that when the Lord’s people were in one mind and one accord (like on the day of Pentecost, Acts 2:1), in praising and worshipping God, the Lord poured out His glory on them.

Glory means the weightiness, the manifest or tangible presence of God. Once we accept Christ as our Savior, He lives within in our hearts, but there is a greater anointing when two or more are gathered in His name in unity. Matt. 18:19-20 says:

Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by my Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of them. Matt. 18:19-20, AMP

Notice the emphasis on harmony and unity. When believers, who are in tune with the Lord, having the mind of the Holy Spirit, come together to pray, or make a decision, there is a special corporate anointing or increase in God’s power and presence.

I believe the Lord looks longingly for people who walk in love and unity and will come together to worship Him in Spirit and in truth, so He can pour out His glory on them. That is why the enemy works over-time looking for people or situations he can use to bring disruptions, cause strife and division and distractions so that the purposes of the Lord can be thwarted. God is much more powerful than Satan and His cohorts, but He has given mankind a free will and the Lord’s presence goes where we make Him feel welcome.

Matthew 10:16 says that we are to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves and II Corinthians 2:11 says that we are not ignorant of Satan’s devices. I believe the Lord is calling us all into a new season where the tactics of the enemy that have worked on us in the past to distract and get us off focus and off track from doing the Lord’s purposes and will for our lives won’t work anymore. God bless you all.
